دوردرشن '''Doordarshan''' (اکثر ڈی ڈی کہا جاتا ہے) [[بھارت]] میں ایک خود مختار نشریاتی ادارہ ہے، جس کی حمایت مرکزی حکومت کرتی ہے۔ اور یہ ادارہ [[پرسار بھارتی]] کی ایک شاخ ہے۔ یہ بھارت کا سب سے بڑا ٹی۔وی۔ نشریاتی ادارہ ہے۔ ڈی ڈی ٹیلی ویژن نشریات ہی نہیں بلکہ ریڈیو نشریات بھی کرتا ہے۔ حال ہی میں ڈیجیٹل طرزی نشریات بھی شروع کی ہے۔

دوردرشن کی ابتداء 15 ستمبر 1959ء کو [[دہلی]] میں ہوئی۔ اس وقت ایک چھوٹا ٹرانسمیٹر اور شفٹ پر کام کرنے والی سٹوڈیو میں شروعات ہوئی ۔

[[Salma Sultan]] joined Doordarshan in 1967 and later became a news anchor. The television service was extended to Bombay (now [[Mumbai]]) and [[Amritsar]] in 1972. Up until 1975, only seven Indian cities had a television service and Doordarshan remained the sole provider of television in India.
