اسکندریہ کا روشن مینار


اسکنڈریہ کا روشن مینار : اس کو فاروس آف الگزانڈریا بھی کہا جاتا ہے۔ اس کی تعمیر ٹولیمی سلطنت کے دور میں 280 اور 247 ق۔ م۔ میں کی گئی۔ اور اس کی بلندی 393 سے 450 قدم تھی۔ مانا جاتا ہے کہ یہ انسان کی بنائی ہوئی دنیا کی سب سے بلند تعمیر ہے۔ اس کا شمار قدیم دنیا کے عجائبات عالم میں ہوتا ہے۔ تین بڑے زلزلوں کی وجہ سے تباہ شدہ یہ مینار کھنڈر میں تبدیل ہو گیا ہے۔[1]
