کشان (قبیلہ)
کشان [1] [2] [3] [4] یا کشانہ [5] ، ہندوستان ، پاکستان اور افغانستان کی گجر برادری کا ایک بڑا قبیلہ (گوترا) ہے۔ کچھ خطوں میں خاص طور پر پنجاب اور کشمیر میں، انھیں کاسانہ [6] [7] گجر بھی کہا جاتا ہے۔ انھوں نے ابتدائی طور پر پہلی صدی سے 375 عیسوی تک کشان سلطنت [8] [9] میں حکومت کی۔ وہ ہندومت ، سکھ مت ، اسلام اور بدھ مت سمیت متعدد مذاہب پر عمل کرتے ہیں۔ وہ اپنے مقامی علاقوں میں مختلف زبانیں بولتے ہیں، لیکن جموں و کشمیر ، خیبر پختونخوا، آزاد کشمیر، گلگت بلتستان، ہماچل پردیش، اتراکھنڈ اور افغانستان میں وہ اپنی مادری زبان گجری زبان بولتے ہیں۔ [6]

وہ پاکستانی صوبوں مغربی پنجاب ، سندھ ، بلوچستان ، خیبرپختونخوا، آزاد کشمیر اور گلگت بلتستان اور بھارتی ریاستوں بشمول راجستھان ، گجرات ، مدھیہ پردیش ، کشمیر ، ہماچل پردیش ، ہریانہ ، اتر پردیش ، مشرقی پنجاب ، اتراکھنڈ میں رہتے ہیں۔ اور دہلی وہ افغانستان کے کچھ صوبوں بشمول کابل ، نورستان اور قندھار میں بھی رہتے ہیں۔
