خارجیت

خارخیت (EXTERNALITY): یہ تنقید شعرکی اصطلاح ہے۔ جو شاعر خارجی لوازمات اور متعلقات میں رہ کر شاعری کرے وہ خارجیت پسند ہوتا ہے۔خارجیت داخلیت کی ضد ہے۔خارجیت پسند شاعر زندگی کی بیرونی سطح دیکھتا ہے۔ پیکر محبوب کی قصیدہ خوانی،ظاہری بینی، محفل آرائی،انجمن پسندی، نشاطیہ لہجہ بہجت وغیرہ خارجیت کے عناصر ہیں جیسے کہ سودا اور آتش کی شاعری میں دیکھا گیا ہے۔

اس تصور کا انگریزی میں نمونہ اس طرح ہے:
Look at my rough externality
My coarse exterior scrapes
And can be felt to be irregular
As I enjoy the harsh landscapes
I have colors of black and gray
Nothing exciting I must say
I am the size of a basic marble
But not as smooth or symmetric
I can fit in the hands
Of a kids dirty palm
Perfect size to be thrown
In anger or as in play
