West front of Bishopsgate railway station, opened in 1840, as pictured in 1851. (cf 1870s plan).

The passenger station was closed in 1875, and then extensively reconstructed between 1878 and 1880 to convert it into a goods depot. "By May 1880 the old facade and side walls had been completely removed." [1]
