Two Bozrahs are mentioned in the Bible. One was in Edom,and is referred to in the well-known passage, Who is this thatcometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah ? (Isa.Ixiii. 1). Upon this ancient city judgments are pronounced inconnection with Edom and Teman, whose inhabitants dwelt in the clefts of the rocks, and the heights of the hills, andmade their houses like the nests of the eagles (Jer. xlix.7-22.)
