مثلاَ، سلطنتِ عثمانیہ کا سربراہ ایک سلطان تھا لہٰذا عثمانیوں کی داوری کو ایک سلطنت کہلانا درست ہے۔
چوںکہ روم ،برطانیہ، فرانس، روس، چین اور جاپان کے وسیع و عریض قبضہ جات کے سربراہاں کبھی بھی کوئی سلطان نہ رہا، لہٰذا ان ممالک کے وسیع و عریض قبضہ جات کو سلطنت کہلانا غلط ہے۔
لہٰذا اُنہیں صرف ’داوری‘ کہلانا جانا چاہئے، یعنی : ’سلطنتِ برطانیہ‘ کے بجائے، ’برطانیہ کی داوری‘ کا نام استعمال کرنا درست ہے۔
