"براعظم" کے نسخوں کے درمیان فرق

[[تصویرملف:Continents vide couleurs.png|thumb|300px|سات براعظم]] [[زمین]] کا ایک بڑا علاقہ جو عام خیال سے [[سمندر]] میں گھرا ہو، [[براعظم]] کہلاتا ہے۔ اس تعریف کے مطابق سات براعظم ہیں۔ [[ایشیاء|ایشیا]] ، [[یورپ]] ، [[افریقہ]] ، [[انٹارکٹکا|انٹارکٹیکا]] ، [[براعظم آسٹریلیا|آسٹریلیا]] ، [[شمالی امریکہ]] اور [[جنوبی امریکہ]]۔ مگر یہ خیال کچھ درست نہیں کیونکہ یورپ اور ایشیا [[روس]] کے زمینی راستے سے جڑے ہوئے ہیں اور [[یوریشیا]] کہلاتے ہیں۔ اسی طرح جنوبی اور شمالی امریکہ بھی جڑے ہوئے ہیں۔ یہی وجہ ہے کہ براعظموں کی اصل تعداد پانچ سمجھی جاتی ہے۔ [[اولمپک تنظیم]] کا نشان بھی پانچ براعظموں کے لئے پانچ دائروں پر مشتمل ہے۔
