لائ چنگ تے ( پیدائش 6 اکتوبر 1958ء [1]جسے ولیم لائی کے نام سے بھی جانا جاتا ہے، تائیوان کے ایک سیاست دان اور سابق معالج ہیں جو تائیوان کے موجودہ نائب صدر اور منتخب صدر ہیں، جنھوں نے 2024ء کے صدارتی انتخابات میں کامیابی حاصل کی۔ان کی صدراتی افتتاحی تقریب 20 مئی 2024ء کو ہوگی۔ وہ صدر بننے والے تائیوان کے تیسرے نائب صدر ہونے والے ہیں اور پیشرو کی موت کی بجائے انتخابات کے ذریعے عہدہ سنبھالنے والے پہلے شخص ہیں۔[2][3]

لائی نے 1986ء میں وو می جو سے شادی کی۔ وو نے تائی پاور کے لیے کام کیا اور لائی شہر کی میئر منتخب ہونے تک تائینان میں مقیم تھیں اور وہ کاؤسنگ منتقل ہو گئیں۔ جوڑے نے دو بیٹوں کی پرورش کی۔ [4][5][6]
